Early Years Conference 2026
Playful Beginnings: Where the Science of Health & Learning Take Shape
Join us for the Early Years Conference 2026 at the Killyhevlin Hotel, Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh on Friday, 5th June, for an inspiring and practical day focused on the power of play and the science that supports healthy development in young children.
This conference brings together early years practitioners, leaders, and specialists to explore how playful, evidence-informed approaches can positively shape outcomes for children from the very start.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Insightful keynote speakers exploring the link between play, health, and learning
- Practical strategies grounded in research and real-world early years practice
- Opportunities to reflect, connect, and reinvigorate your professional practice
- A lively, supportive environment celebrating the importance of early childhood
The conference features two outstanding keynote speakers. Darryl Edwards, an internationally recognised advocate for play and physical activity, will share insights from his work as a movement coach, author, TED speaker and founder of the Primal Play Method, highlighting the vital role of movement and play in early childhood. Dr Anna Machin, writer, broadcaster and pioneering researcher on fatherhood, will explore the evolving role of fathers in children’s lives, drawing on her research and her book The Life of Dad: The Making of the Modern Father.
