A session on “environmental voice”, employees raising sustainability ideas, how organisations can support them, & modern HR practice.

In this session, Victoria will introduce you to the concept of environmental voice — why employees increasingly raise sustainability‑related ideas at work, and how HR, L&amp;D and OD teams can enable or unintentionally block this engagement. Victoria will explore real organisational examples, explain how sustainability links with engagement, culture, wellbeing and organisational values, and consider practical ways people practitioners at all levels can support environmental ideas in their own context. The session also highlights why sustainability is becoming a core part of modern people practice and future CIPD capability. Those currently working in HR roles connected to environmental or sustainability activity may be eligible to participate themselves, full details in poster below. Anonymised findings from Victoria’s research will be shared through her PhD thesis, academic publications, conference presentations and practitioner summaries.
