Dead Good Film Club: Screening & Discussion

Join us for a very special outdoor screening and discussion as part of the Afterlives Festival and The Late Shows — under the stars with the unique Wayfaring Cinema.

Expect great films, genuine insights and the kind of conversation you won't easily forget!

Wayfaring Cinema is a mobile outdoor cinema that will be parked up near Newcastle City Library for the evening, complete with bookable deckchairs and a fire to keep you warm.

Can't book a deckchair? Bring your own seat and watch for free! Everyone is welcome.

Dead Good Film Club brings people together around carefully chosen films to spark honest, fascinating conversations about death and dying – topics that are all too often considered off-limits.

Tonight's film takes us from Newcastle to Zanzibar, with a pre-screening discussion with filmmaker Andy Jones.I Shot Bi Kidude - or the curious kidnap of the world's oldest singer

What to expect:

Film has a unique power to open up the conversations we find hardest to have. Add food, a fire, fresh air and great company, and the Dead Good Film Club creates a truly unforgettable space to explore those conversations together — with curiosity, humour and honesty.
