We Are Wakefield First Friday Networking

Friday 3rd July | 9:30am–11:30am | The Grange - Carleton Grange Trust

Join us at the next We Are Wakefield event at The Grange as we visit a new to WAW venue and hear from WO1 William (Billy) Shepherd, Naval Regional Engagement Officer for Yorkshire and Humber.

During his presentation, Billy will outline who he is, who he represents, and his role within the Royal Navy, with a focus on how the Royal Navy engages with local authorities, communities, and businesses across the Yorkshire and Humber region.

The session will also highlight the upcoming Wakefield Regional Capability Demonstration taking place in September at Wakefield Trinity Rugby League Club. This event will be delivered as a Royal Navy led Regional Capability Demonstration while also serving as a joint Military and Business Expo for Barnsley, Kirklees, and Wakefield, working in partnership with Julie Dawes, Armed Forces Covenant Project Officer at Wakefield Council.

We'll also hear from our hosts Carleton Grange Trust about this beautiful building and community hub.

Event Disclaimer: Accessibility & Noise Levels

Our aim is to consider the needs of all our members and visitors to create an inclusive, welcoming environment at every event.

As we host events in different venues, noise levels and surroundings may vary. While we are mindful of this, networking and group gatherings can sometimes be loud, which we appreciate may be challenging for some individuals, including those who are hearing impaired, neurodiverse, or sensitive to sound.

If you require accommodations please speak to a member of the WAW team. A quieter space will be allocated.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us make our events accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
