Overview

Join us for supper in the garden with great food and an expert talk on Britain's changing social fabric!

Our annual Garden Party is a regular slot in our programme of events with guests enjoying supper on the Victoria Terrace with views of the beautiful gardens of Winterbourne House & Garden. Guests will also have the opportunity to explore the gardens at their leisure.

After supper guests are in for a treat!

We are delighted to announce that our keynote speaker for the Garden Party this year is Dr Phil Burton-Cartledge.

Dr Burton-Cartledge will be exploring how the political sands across the UK are shifting. In the wake of seismic local elections across England, as well as to the devolved legislatures of Scotland and Wales, how can we make sense of the results and what do they tell us about where we are going?

Dr. Phil Burton-Cartledge is an author and lecturer in Sociology at the University of Derby. Via his blog, All That Is Solid, he regularly writes about politics and current affairs. He has also written for The Independent, New Statesman, and OpenDemocracy.
