Big Battlefield Walks Weekends - Battle of Tewkesbury 1471

Tewkesbury Abbey Car ParkTewkesbury, England
Overview

Walk to survey related points of interest

An opportunity to explore one of the key battles of the Wars of the Roses with the Tewkesbury Battlefeld Society

Meet at 10:00pm from the red brick gates into the Abbey grounds from Gander Lane car park, Tewkesbury (pave.losing.teacher)

The walk covers just over two miles, on a mixture of tarmac footways and well-defined footpaths through fields. There are two “kissing gates” and a flight of steps to negotiate and so regrettably it is not accessible to wheelchair users.

The walk will take approximately two hours to complete and finishes back at Tewkesbury Abbey. The walk is free and dogs are welcome, Donations to the society are always welcome.

Car parking is available at two car parks both on Gander Lane as well as other car parks in the area.

For any queries please contact the Tewkesbury Battlefield Society via the contact page on the website Tewkesbury.org.uk.

Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or carer

Tickets are free but limited to 30 people.

If you are no longer able to attend the walk, please cancel your ticket as soon as possible to allow someone else to take your place.
