Do we need to bring our own lunch? Where will we eat?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You all know best what your family needs, so please bring your own lunch. We will provide tea/coffee, dessert (including GF option) & water. As long as the weather is nice, we will eat outside in the garden - bring a blanket, folding chairs, or whatever you need to be comfortable!

Can children or teens come without parents?

No, anyone under 18 needs to be in the company of a parent/guardian.

Question 3

How will the catechesis be structured?

Accepted Answer

Children under 3 will stay with parents throughout the day. Following the picnic, however, we intend to have catechetical activities for children 3-16  as well as separate discussion for adults. We will plan this time based on who registers!

How will the games be structured?

This will likely be in whole-family format. Again, we will plan this time based on who registers!

Can we leave early?

Accepted Answer

Yes, please come for whatever portions will be most suitable for you and your family.

Question 6

Does the Vigil fulfill our Sunday obligation?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the Mass will be an anticipatory Mass looking ahead to Sunday, so it will fulfill your Mass obligation. However, why not enjoy Sunday mass at your parish the following day?! Every Mass is a sacred treasure.

Can my fiance/spouse and I attend, even if we do not have children (or the children cannot join)?

The day is most focused on building up families raising children right now  - if you would like to do that along with us, your presence, insights, and prayers are most welcome - yes, please come!

Why should we come?

Accepted Answer

Family is a gift - to the family members themselves and the whole world. It is also a tremendous undertaking. We want to celebrate this gift - and, if we can, strengthen you all - bearers of this great gift for the world.
