A day for biological recorders to make species records on an interesting site
Gwydir Castle invites you to a Recorders’ Day at their gardens and wildlife meadows. The 15 acres of meadow are sloped, rich in Yellow Rattle, surrounded by stone walls and patches of scrub. These habitats offer a wealth of opportunity to record at this under-recorded site. The Gardens themselves provide further recording opportunity such as ponds, old buildings and formal planting.
There is ample parking at the Gardens and Meadows and toilets are available at the Castle. Hot drinks will be on offer, but please bring a packed lunch. Gwydir Castle has kindly agreed to waive their entrance fee for recorders on the day.
