Rockpool Species Identification Course

Rockpool Species Identification Course

Treborth Botanic GardenBangor, Wales
Thursday, October 1  •  8 AM - 3 PM
Overview

Rockpool animal identification

Our intertidal rockpools hold a fascinating range of animals. Paul Brazier will introduce you to the species we find along the Menai Strait. The course will start with an early morning session looking for animals in rockpools at low-tide. Yolanda Evans will also be on hand to help us find Sea Slugs.

We’ll then relocate to Treborth Botanic Gardens where we’ll be able to examine some of our finds in more detail, and they will be returned to the sea after the course.

This is an excellent opportunity to be guided on the identification of rockpool species by two very enthusiastic and knowledgeable marine biologists.
