- Recognising the signs and symptoms of common palliative care emergencies, such as spinal cord compression, major haemorrhage, superior vena cava obstruction and hypercalcaemia.
- Identification of risk factors that may predispose patients to palliative care emergencies.
- Management strategies for these emergencies, including both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
