We are a not-for-profit organisation based near Selby, North Yorkshire. We work to tackle fuel poverty, supporting vulnerable households with their energy bills, dealing with energy debts, accessing grants and schemes for energy efficiency improvements.

Taking action on environmental sustainability can deliver a range of practical benefits for VCSE organisations. These include reducing costs, meeting the expectations of funders and stakeholders, demonstrating leadership, strengthening organisational resilience, and creating positive outcomes for local communities, alongside contributing to tackling climate change.As part of the new <a href="https://villagegreen.org.uk/" title="https://villagegreen.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Village Green project</a>, we are able to offer this free new training session to anyone involved with a VCSE organisation or community group in North Yorkshire.It will cover:<ul><li>The environmental challenges facing society and the role VCSE organisations can play in addressing them</li><li>How sustainability can support organisational resilience, reduce costs and enhance community impact</li><li>Simple, practical actions to reduce environmental impact across areas such as energy, water, travel and waste</li><li>How to take the first steps towards developing a sustainability action plan</li><li>Sources of support to help your organisation move forward</li></ul>
