African Women's Collective

We are an independent, user-led organisation with 24 years of experiences in connecting patients, service users, carers and the public with service redesign. We are rooted in the community with a proven track record of working in an innovative way with communities by ensuring they are at the centre of all the work we do. This enables us to understand what the real issues are, the barriers and the solutions for people to live better lives in Leeds. We work with all communities but have expertise in vulnerable groups.

The Community Wellbeing

Join us at the next African Women’s Collective meeting, where we’ll be talking openly about violence against women and girls (VAWG).This is a space for African women to come together, share experiences, and shape how services respond. Too often, voices go unheard and this is about changing that.We’ll be having honest conversations about safety, trust, and what needs to improve. Your input will directly feed into work with West Yorkshire Police to help improve how they support African women.Alongside the information, there will be time to talk, connect, enjoy refreshments and continue building the brilliant momentum of this growing group.All African women are welcome - whether you’ve been before or it’s your first time.
