do i need to bring anything?

you are encouraged to bring your own project to work on. some materials will be provided on a pay-as-you-feel basis if you don't have a craft or want to learn to mend something.

where is the workshop?

our basement event-space in our north london swap shop (81 stoke newington road, N16 8AD)

what time should i arrive?

try to get here 5–10 minutes early so we can start on time and you can get settled.

is there food or drink?

Accepted Answer

yeah. we run a small bar/café with tea, coffee, and cake available to buy. our bar will also be stocked with beer, cider, and cocktails.

is the space accessible?

sadly, due to our space being downstairs it’s not accessible to wheelchair users at this time

i’m a beginner. is that ok?

yes. most workshops are beginner-friendly. if something requires experience, we’ll say so x

will there be photos?

sometimes we take photos for socials. if you’d rather not be in them, just tell us when you arrive.

can i swap/buy clothes during my visit?

the shop will be running during the workshop, members and guests can browse before or after if they want.

Question 9

can children attend?

Accepted Answer

children under-16 can attend workshops as long as they are accompanied by a guardian aged 18+
