2-day MHFA England Adult course: learn to spot mental health concerns, support conversations, and guide people to professional help.


This MHFA England‑approved two‑day Adult Mental Health First Aid course equips managers and workplace teams with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to act as Mental Health First Aiders.

Over the course of two days, participants learn how to recognise the early signs of mental health challenges, approach sensitive conversations with confidence, and support individuals in accessing appropriate professional help.

Who is this course for?

The training is suitable for a wide range of sectors and professional roles. It is designed to reduce the impact of poor mental health in the workplace and is particularly beneficial for people managers, team members, HR professionals, learning and development teams, and senior leaders.

Course content

You must be able to attend both full days in order to complete the course and receive the certificate.

DAY 1 - Tuesday 6 May, 9am-5pm

Session 1
Introduction to mental health and the MHFA action plan, self‑care, mental health language, and stress.

Session 2
Understanding anxiety, eating disorders, substance misuse and self‑harm, alongside developing active listening skills.

DAY 2 - Wednesday 7 May, 9am-5pm

Session 3
Exploration of depression, suicide awareness, and psychosis.

Session 4
Focus on recovery, setting healthy boundaries, and confidently continuing your role as a Mental Health First Aider.
