Full First Aid for Adventurous Activities (2FA LED)
Upgrade your first aid skills, either as the qualification for a First Aid trainer or to support young people in more adventurous scenarios
This course is suitable for any adults leading outdoor activities with young people in more adventurous or remote situations. It is required for certain adventurous activities (see POR 9.1.1.1.k) and to be able to train First Response.
Some of the course may be undertaken outdoors to mimic “real” circumstances so be prepared.
The course is non-residential. There are only 12 places available and priority will be given to potential trainers and those needing the qualification renewed.
On the day
Check out how to find the building and where to park.
Aim to arrive 15 minutes early to give yourself time to register and have a drink and start to get to know everyone.
Wear suitable clothing for being outdoors whatever the weather in which you would be prepared to be rolling around on the ground.
Bring your lunch, hot drinks will be available and you might like to bring along your own insulated travel mug.
If you have limited movement, inform the instructor on arrival so you can be shown techniques to suit your ability.
You will receive a First Aid book and a certificate will be awarded for this transferable qualification. You are assessed throughout the day so there is no test. You are assessed throughout the day so there is no test.
