Family life with ADHD and Autism
Explore how ADHD and Autism shape family relationships, with gentle, practical ideas to reduce tension and support understanding.
Family life and relationships can sometimes feel more complicated when ADHD and/or Autism is part of the picture. Differences in communication, emotional regulation, sensory needs and energy levels can lead to misunderstandings, frustration or repeated arguments – even when everyone is trying their best.
We’re pleased to invite parent carers to a 45‑minute online session on Tuesday 19th May, 10:00–11:00am, offering a calm and supportive space to explore how ADHD and Autism can shape everyday interactions and relationships within families.
During the session, we’ll look at:
- Why certain situations may feel harder
- How neurodivergent stress can show up in different ways
- How differences are sometimes misunderstood
- Gentle, realistic ways to pause, reflect and make small changes that reduce tension and support clearer communication
Anonymity and accessibility
This session is completely anonymous. You don’t need to share personal details, turn your camera or microphone on, or speak during the session. You can simply choose a screen name, listen in, and take away anything that feels useful for you and your family.
About the facilitator
