<h2>Event summary</h2>A practical workshop exploring intellectual property for businesses and early-stage ventures. Designed for those who want to better understand how ideas, creative work, and innovation can be recognised, protected, and developed.<h2>About this event</h2>Many people have strong ideas but are unsure how to protect, develop, or manage them in the early stages.This workshop introduces participants to key areas of intellectual property and innovation, helping them understand why these topics matter for businesses, entrepreneurs, and creative ventures. Led by Prof Dinusha Mendis and colleagues at <a href="https://microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk/cippm/" title="https://microsites.bournemouth.ac.uk/cippm/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">CIPPM</a>, the session offers accessible and practical insight into areas such as patents, copyright, licensing, and trade marks.
