Agenda (UK time)

18:30-18:35 Introduction and Announcements

18:35-19:15 Ultra sparse acquisition by design: Full wavefield imaging for 4D monitoring and overburden imaging

19:15-19:30 Q&A

from 19:30 DRINKS at Queen’s Arms, SW7 5QL, 30 Queens Gate Mews

Presenter

Dr Francesca Oggioni, Viridien

Francesca is the Lead Seismic Specialist for the Carbon Storage group at Viridien.

She has a background in exploration geophysics and holds PhD in Marine Geophysics from Imperial College London.

Francesca joined Viridien 13 years ago in Seismic Imaging in the UK and has joined the Carbon Storage group in 2022.

Her work focuses on ultra-sparse seismic imaging and 4D monitoring including ultra-sparse OBN and DAS.

Talk outline

In this talk we present ultra-sparse monitoring by design, showing how optimized acquisition is combined with full-wavefield imaging.

We will showcase examples of fibre optic (DAS VSP and surface DAS) and ultra-sparse OBN arrays to deliver scalable, cost-effective subsurface imaging and 4D monitoring of both reservoir and overburden.
