Skerries Bee Walk and Talk
Join Charles and Marion Heasman of Sustainable Skerries on a neighbourhood walk to explore the fascinating world of bees in Skerries
Charles and Marion Heasman, members of the Sustainable Skerries group, will lead the walk through some public green spaces where seasonal wildflower meadows grow and bees tend to gather in the spring. Come along to learn about the world of Irish bees, hopefully including some less common species- you may even realise that you have seen them before without knowing.
The walk will be slow-paced and the full route should take about an hour and a half, although there is no obligation to stay for the entire event. Wear suitable shoes for the walk, bring water and make sure to dress properly for the weather. Families with children are welcome, but please leave dogs at home.
Because this is a fully outdoors event, the walk is subject to weather conditions and may have to be postponed or cancelled if the forecast is poor. We will notify attendees if plans change, so keep an eye on your email inboxes in the days leading up to the walk.
