Digital Skills for Community Archives
Brush up your digital skills at this free in person training day covering digital preservation, digitisation and sharing digital collections
Do you work or volunteer in a community archive?
As part of SCA’s Community Stories-Community Archives project, funded by the NLHF, we are offering a free in-person training day on basic digital archive skills including digital preservation, digitisation and sharing digital collections.
Lunch will be provided and tea and coffee available throughout. Places are limited and offered on a first come first served basis.
Although not essential, as there will be some practical demonstrations, participants are encouraged to bring a laptop or other device.
We have a small number of bursaries available to assist with travel costs to the event. Please email j.duffy@scottisharchives.org.uk for more information.
A representative from Townsweb Archiving will be giving a session on planning a digitisation project. Please note that the deadline to apply for their digitisation grants is Friday 5th June. More information can be found here: TWA Digitisation Grant | 10 x £3,000 Grant | TownsWeb Archiving
This session is for non-professionals or those volunteering in a community archive.
