Hopeman Bioblitz Battle! - National Rockpool Challenge
Download the app and come along to take part in the National Rockpool Challenge at Hopeman with Moray Ocean Community
The Big Rock Pool Challenge engages communities by exploring the incredible marine biodiversity along the UK coastline.
This is a Big Rock Pool Challenge pilot event being run by Moray Ocean Community. This is a private event for MOC volunteers and will take place at East Beach, Hopeman in front of the beach huts. To register for the event please do so via our BioBlitz Battle web app: https://therockpoolproject.shinyapps.io/BioBlitzBattle/
Once you have signed up via the app, you will be able to use it create/join a team and check your score. You can find an app user guide here: https://www.therockpoolproject.co.uk/bioblitz-battle-app-guide
Then, all you need to do during the event is to record observations via iNaturalist, and they will automatically be added to the game.
BioBlitz Battles last for 90 minutes, and you should record any and all species you find during that time. We will meet at 9.30 to introduce the bioblitz an get everyone set up ready to start the bioblitz battle at 10am!

We would recommend you bring wellies or water shoes and clothes to suit the weather!
