Out and About: Get Outside, Meet Others – Hanley Park

Hanley ParkHanley, England
Saturday, June 13  •  10 AM - 12 PM
Overview

A relaxed community space to connect, get outside, and with All LGBTQ+ people and allies . The group is an inclusive space.

Overview

Hello, I’m Hayley, and I run the Interpersonal Hub, a therapy and support space focused on relationships.

In my work, I use an interpersonal approach, which looks at how the relationships around us impact how we feel day to day. That includes feeling accepted for who we are, having spaces where we don’t need to explain ourselves, and building a sense of connection with others.

A big part of this is what we might call an “interpersonal team” — the people in your life who offer connection, encouragement, and a sense of being alongside others.

That team might be made up of friends, chosen family, partners, or just one or two people you feel comfortable with. And part of developing that team is either strengthening the relationships you already have, or creating new opportunities for connection.

Out and About is about making space for that in a way that feels safe and relaxed.

It’s an LGBTQIA+ affirming community space for LGBTQIA+ people and their allies, to get outside and be around others.

You might come along with someone you already know and spend time together in a different way. Or you might come on your own and find yourself gradually getting to know others over time.

There’s no expectation to share anything personal, and no requirement to talk constantly. You can join in conversation, or simply walk alongside others and take things at your own pace.

For some people, it will be about having a conversation.
For others, it might simply be about getting out, being around people, and not feeling on your own for a while.

This isn’t therapy.
It’s an LGBTQIA+ affirming community space, and a different way of building connection.

What to expect

  • A gentle, steady-paced walk around Hanley Park
  • An LGBTQIA+ affirming and inclusive environment
  • Space for natural conversationNo structured activities or pressure
  • A welcoming, down-to-earth atmosphere

You’re free to talk, listen, or simply be present.
You can dip in and out of conversation as it feels right.
