An Introduction to Podcasting for Researchers online - two part session

Online event
Multiple dates
Overview

Students interested to learn about the potential and practicalities of podcasting in a research setting

PLEASE remember - this is a two part session, with session 1 - 10 - 12.30, Monday 11th May, session 2 - 10 - 12.30, Monday 18th May - you must select tickets for both sessions

Course Description:

In this highly practical and interactive bespoke course delivered over 2 half days, participants will gain the knowledge and hands-on skills required to set up, launch and run a podcast. After an overview and introduction to podcasts, apps, software and hardware, participants will get hands on audio editing practice learning how to put together a podcast episode including re-ordering content, recording and mixing in theme music. They will also use our template for success to develop their ideas for the format and content of their own podcast and get feedback on their ideas from an experienced podcaster. It is hoped that students will use these templates to submit their podcast idea for LAHP’s Public Engagement Prize.

Additional readings:

There are no additional readings but prior to the session we will send out joining instructions including links to software and files required to complete the course on the day. With that in mind we will need contact details for participants 7 days prior to the course.
