Hello! I’m Kat, a local artist who creates bold, colourful, nature inspired paintings. I am your friendly neighbourhood plant lady, and I am here to help you create a beautiful piece of work that you can feel super proud of!

Why book with me?

I studied art in my early 20s, but ended up leaving my university education due to having a very poor teacher who knocked my confidence and told me there was no way I could ever be an artist.

I left my course devastated and truly believed them…in fact I didn’t pick up a brush again for 16 years, deciding to get a ‘sensible’ job instead. After being made redundant on maternity leave in my 30s, I thought it was now or never to try…and I have now been a full time artist for the last 7 years.

This personal experience allows me to teach in a way that values kindness, will be non judgemental and tailored to your needs and pace. No matter your age, ability or confidence…there is a place for you here, and the kettle is always on!

What is the session like?

Through the relaxed and calming 2 hour session you will paint a beautiful ficus houseplant. Also known as a rubber tree, there are several varieties that have wonderful bright colours and lovely patterned leaves. It is a simple shape that we can add lots of abstract colour to, ensuring you leave with a piece of art you can be truly proud of.
