Our Place Heritage Mapping Workshop - Central Acomb

Join York Civic Trust for a welcoming, interactive workshop exploring the heritage of Acomb and Westfield. This session invites local residents to come together, share their memories and knowledge, and add meaningful places, stories, and traditions to a large shared map.

From well-known landmarks to personal, hidden stories, we want to hear what heritage means to you. Whether it's a favourite street, a quiet corner, or a memory tied to a particular place, your contribution will help build a richer, more inclusive picture of the area.

No prior experience needed, just a curiosity about the place you call home.

This is the first of two workshops, held across several local venues. A follow-up session two weeks later will build on the ideas gathered here, focusing on practical research skills using accessible online resources. Attendance at both is encouraged but not essential, and each session must be booked separately.
