How to make inclusive and accessible, sensory-rich visitor experiences.

This one-day workshop explores practical and achievable tools, techniques and approaches that can improve access to our natural heritage for all visitors.


Training participants will have the opportunity to enter into a draw to attend one of twenty free, online advice sessions (one hour) with a member of the Sensory Trust team.


Who is it for:

People working or volunteering in woodlands, forests, parks, gardens, farms, moorlands, wetlands, visitor attractions or historic estates.


In the workshop you will:

  • Find out how to make your visitor experience more inclusive and accessible.
  • Discover how to use the Access Chain to understand a visitor’s journey and plan an accessible event.
  • Use practical tools to help you identify and appreciate the sensory opportunities you have.
  • Learn how to create inclusive and engaging sensory-rich experiences.
  • Understand the importance of pre-visit information to welcome visitors of all ages and abilities.
