Carcanet Poetry

Hear new work from a selection of local publisher Carcanet's poets and learn about how these poets developed their first collections, the journeys their books underwent, and the editorial process involved. Poets will be in conversation with Carcanet's editor, John McAuliffe.

Withington Public Hall Institute is conveniently located in the heart of Withington Village, making it easy to reach by public transport.

• By Bus: The venue is well-served by a high frequency of local bus services running through Withington Village, with stops located just a short walk away on the main road.
• By Metrolink: The nearest tram stop is Burton Road. From the stop, it is approximately a 15–20 minute walk to the venue, or a very short bus ride connecting from the nearby main road.
• By Car: Parking in Withington Village can be limited. We strongly recommend utilizing public transport where possible. If you must travel by car, please allow extra time to locate suitable parking in the surrounding residential streets or public bays.
