Creating a Sonic Haven: Music, Connection and Equality

Overview

Join Dr Claire Garabedian as she explores the role of music in care and community settings!

Using research examples, anecdotes, live cello music, multimedia and audience engagement, Claire delivers a dynamic session offering fresh perspectives and practical, accessible ways to use music creatively in care and community settings.

Dr Claire Garabedian brings decades of experience as a cellist, certified music practitioner, educator, and postdoctoral researcher specialising in arts and dementia. Her work bridges performance, research and therapeutic practice, exploring music as a powerful vehicle for connection, particularly within marginalised and difficult-to-reach populations.
