Cecile Elstein Studio - Tour, Talks and Screenings
The Cecile Elstein Studio presents tours, curators’ talks and screenings relating to the work of renowned artist Cecile Elstein (1938-2025).
For DAF 2026 the Cecile Elstein Studio (CES) will present tours, curators’ talks and screenings. Cecile Elstein was a sculptor, printmaker, fine artist and environmental artist known for her open studio talks and co-founding and leading the Didsbury Drawing Group (2001-2021).
Today the CES studio develops artists' curatorial resources and promotes artists through awarding DAF’s CES Artist’s Prize biennially. The CES team of studio curators and its director Maureen Kendal, artist, author and producer presents the CES programme for DAF: SUNDAY 28th JUNE 11am - 1pm - TOUR, TALKS, SCREENINGS: Mark Javin (sculpture), Maureen Kendal (catalogue raisonée) and Hannah Kane (on soundscapes and announcing the CES composer’s competition). TUESDAY 30th JUNE 2pm - 6pm - TOUR, TALKS, SCREENINGS: Molly Goulding (printmaking), Mark Javin (art as environment) and Maureen Kendal (art studio practice).
