IMAGINE GALLEON WEEKENDER: Create Together Day (Saturday 30 May)

A free family-friendly Saturday of art and creativity at Galleon Arts Centre for all ages. Two sessions, morning or afternoon, same line up.

THE FESTIVAL

Come down to Galleon Arts Centre, a creative space for the people of Barking & Dagenham. This is the first day of the Imagine Galleon Weekender. Decided by local people, delivered by local creatives. Now it’s your chance to get creative, tell us what you think and help shape what comes next at Galleon. It's free and everyone is welcome.

THE EVENT

The Create Together Day on Saturday 30 May has two sessions:

Morning: 10:30am to 2.30pm

Afternoon: 2.30pm to 6.30pm

Doors open 10:30am (morning session) & 2.30pm (afternoon session)

Same line up across both sessions. Book a ticket for either the morning or afternoon.

Puppet show by Indigo Moon Theatre · 11am & 3pm

Puppet making workshop with Kateryna

Community singing with Ali, Richard and Suzy

Cultural Threads · t-shirt art, weaving, festival make up & community catwalk with Nicola and friends

Imagine Galleon Food - sharing food memories and a community feast with Almu and Nice Bunch CIC

The puppet show is the only fixed-time activity (11am in the morning, 3pm in the afternoon). Limited capacity, arrive early to guarantee your seat. Everything else is drop-in, first-come first-served, and there'll be plenty for everyone to do across the day.

BOOKING

Please book one free ticket per person attending, including children. If you can no longer come, return your ticket so someone else can have it. If tickets are sold out, add your name to the waitlist. Walk-ups welcome on the day subject to space.

GETTING THERE

Galleon Arts Centre, Barking & Dagenham. Free parking on Abbey Road, 5 minutes away, not guaranteed. Walking, cycling and public transport recommended.
