IMAGINE GALLEON WEEKENDER: Vim Creates x Jus Jammin (Sunday 31 May)

A Sunday at Galleon Arts Centre with Vim Creates x Jus Jammin. Two sessions: The afternoon (1-4pm) is a session of creative flow with workshops and chill vibes, suitable for all ages. The evening (5-9pm) is a unique and immersive live event showcasing local talent, suitable for 11 plus.

THE FESTIVAL

Come down to Galleon Arts Centre, a creative space for the people of Barking & Dagenham. This is the second day of the Imagine Galleon Weekender. Decided by local people, delivered by local creatives. Now it’s your chance to get creative, tell us what you think and help shape what comes next at Galleon. It's free and everyone is welcome.

THE EVENT

There are two Vim Creates x Jus Jammin sessions. Book the one you want to attend, or book both.

1-4pm An afternoon of creative flow with workshops and chill vibes, open to all ages

· Drawing workshop and dance demo with Sammy Vimz and friends

· Live caricature and recording studio sessions with Soul and Sound

· DJ vibes keeping the energy flowing

· Plant based food

Please note: workshops will have a limited capacity and will be accessible on a first come first served basis. Please arrive early.

5-9pm, A unique and immersive live event showcasing local talent, suitable for 11+

· Party with freestyle jam

THE CONCEPT

Vim Creates x Jus Jammin

The event is a special collaboration between Vim Creates and Jus Jammin.

Vim Creates is an event that sits at the cross-section between Life Drawing and Dance. Created by Sammy Vimz, it’s not just a showcase but an immersive artistic experience, both for the participants and for the performers. All levels are welcome, no pressure, no expectations; just a chill environment and the space to unlock your inner child.

Jus Jammin is a vibrant community-led live music experience that brings people together through music, culture, creativity and connection. Created by Soul and Sound CIC, Jus Jammin provides a platform for emerging and established artists to showcase their talents in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Alongside live performances, the experience includes visual art, DJs, interactive creative activities and local food vendors, creating a unique atmosphere that celebrates the diversity and creativity of Barking and Dagenham. Jus Jammin is about building community, supporting local talent and creating memorable cultural experiences that inspire and connect people of all ages.

BOOKING

Please book one free ticket per person attending, including children. If you can no longer come, return your ticket so someone else can have it. If tickets are sold out, add your name to the waitlist. Walk-ups welcome on the day subject to space.

Galleon Arts Centre, Barking & Dagenham. Free parking on Abbey Road, 5 minutes away, not guaranteed. Walking, cycling and public transport recommended.
