Gongbath Special Event at Holy Trinity Church, Guildford.

Gongbath Special Event at Holy Trinity Church, Guildford.

Holy Trinity ChurchGuildford, England
Overview

Experience the therapeutic sounds and deep relaxing tones of a range of large gongs in this stunning location in central Guildford.

This will be a stunning opportunity to experience the therapeutic sounds of a range of large gongs as their deep calming tones interact with the acoustics of this incredible building.

This will be the first time the gongs have been heard in this amazing location and it will make this a very special event.

The gongs will mostly range between the 36-42 inch size in order to create a deep and powerful effect for you, creating the opportunity for a powerful dialogue between the mind and body, along with the gongs and the incredible acoustics of the building. This interaction will provide a unique sound meditation experience like no other.

I have played in a wide variety of incredible settings including St Pauls Cathedral and 4 years of sessions at Kew Gardens. I also use a sensitive multi-sensory approach to my playing style which means that I work closely with the environment to provide a powerful and yet gentle and intricate sonic meditation experience.

I hope you can join me for what will be a very memorable first sound journey event at this iconic building in the centre of Guildford.

Sound Bath/ Sound Journey Information

Sound and well-being

Its important to make time for ourselves, and to look after our wellbeing. These sessions use a range of large gongs, played in a gentle and sensitive manner to help achieve a deep sense of relaxation and meditation which can help to restore the mind and body back to equilibrium.

What to expect

You will rest comfortably on the floor and listen to the sounds. You are not expected to do anything physically active. The session is aimed at relaxation and rest. Participants normally stay awake but reach a deep dreamlike state which can be extremely therapeutic for both the mind and body.

No previous experience is needed, and all will be explained before the session.

What to bring

Please bring a mat (yoga mat/camping mat etc), one or two blankets, a pillow, eye covering and a bottle of water.

I do have spare mats available if requested in advance.

How to prepare

The sound therapy session is a 2 way process, a connection made between you and the sound. Please arrive 15 minutes early to get settled in advance. When you arrive take the time to rest quietly in the gong space, slow down your breathing, clear the mind and relax. The more prepared you are the greater the benefit you will feel.

Please enjoy the quiet space when you arrive and respect others around you who will be preparing too.

Contact me in advance if you are unsure of directions to the venue.
