Tim Hannigan - The Pathless Land

Author of The Granite Kingdom, Tim Hannigan joins us at The Edge of the World Bookshop to speak about his latest book, The Pathless Lands. Growing up in Cornwall, Tim Hannigan grew used to the ease of footpaths, as many of us do. Freely taking a stroll in the wild countryside, apart from vehicles and the mechanical hum of modern life. Now, living in Ireland, where public access to the countryside is more limited than almost anywhere in Europe, Tim embarks on a journey from Dingle to Burr Point, in pursuit of Ireland's lost footpaths. Sparking a necessary debate about our 'right to roam' and the link between landscape and identity, The Pathless Lands explores the inextricable connection through walking the land and belonging.
