Controlling the Risks of Working at Height
Stuart Honeywood, Managing Director of Height Lift and Shift will present his view on how we can reduce the incidence of falls from height.
During the period 2020 to 2025, 28% of fatal accidents in the workplace were due to falls from height. 53% of this figure relates to falls in the construction industry.
Fatalities caused by being struck by a moving vehicle come in second at 16%. It is clear that working at height continues to represent a significant risk to workers. See https://www.hse.gov.uk/statistics/assets/docs/kinds-of-accident.pdf
Stuart will explore practical and effective approaches to managing risks associated with working at height. This session focuses on real-world controls, planning, and best practice to help organisations reduce incidents, ensure compliance, and protect people working in high-risk environments.
