The Crisis and Resilience Fund: how charitable food providers can adapt
Hear from frontline food aid providers who are developing wraparound support models and aligning with new Crisis & Resilience Fund guidance.
Following on from the previous webinar held on 15 April exploring opportunities of the Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) for the charitable food sector, Sustain and IFAN are hosting a second webinar for frontline food providers to share how they have developed their wraparound support offer and adapted their models.
Speakers will be frontline food aid organisations with experience of setting up holistic wraparound support services alongside food provision, which align with aims of the CRF guidance, and supports the case for funding the services via the CRF.
Speakers will include:
- The Collective Sharehouse in York. The Sharehouse was set up as a food bank during the Covid-19 pandemic. They will talk about how they developed their ‘more than food’ offer of a wide range of advice services and digital support alongside food provision, and have become a trusted place for support within the community.
- The Welcome Centre in south Kirklees. The Welcome Centre started life as a food bank 30 years ago, and for the last 10 years have also been providing in-house Advice, Guidance and Support (AGS) service, working with households accessing the food bank to help them address any underlying issues they are facing, and ultimately helping them build financial resilience and transition beyond food bank dependency. They will talk about how they developed their advice and support services and trauma-informed approach.
- Other speakers TBA
