Summer Illustration Meet-Up & Group Draw | London meet-up | Blend

What a scorching start to summer! As the temperatures settle down, we hope you're keeping cool and finding time to get creative.

Join your fellow illustrators on Wednesday 17 June, 11am–1pm, for a relaxed illustration meet-up and group draw on London's South Bank.

Whether you're looking to sketch from life, find fresh inspiration, meet other creatives, or simply spend a couple of hours drawing in good company, this friendly session is for you.

We'll have tables available indoors if the weather turns, plus plenty of outdoor seating and people-watching opportunities if the sun is shining. The South Bank offers endless sketching inspiration. from the River Thames and iconic architecture to performers, commuters, tourists, and fellow creatives. Draw whatever catches your eye and work at your own pace.

There are also plenty of cafés, food stalls, and riverside spots nearby if you fancy a coffee or lunch during the session.

This event is open to all illustrators, artists, sketchers, and creative practitioners, whether you're a professional illustrator, a student, a hobbyist, or just starting out. Our meetups are welcoming, inclusive spaces designed to help creatives connect, share ideas, and build community.

Where to meet:

11.00 am : Meet at the Festival Hall bar and kitchen cafe, level 2 (facing the Thames) your organisers will be there early to greet you . Once everyone is assembled there is an option to see the Quentin Blake parade, then disperse for drawing around the Southbank.

What to bring:

• Your preferred sketchbook or drawing materials
• A portable stool if you'd like one (optional)
• Weather-appropriate clothing for outdoor sketching

Come along, meet fellow illustrators, and enjoy a relaxed morning of drawing on one of London's most inspiring riversides.

Warren and Andy Zabala Wynn, in collaboration with the Association of Illustrators, who support illustrators working professionally throughout the industry.
