Cyanotype Print Workshop – Create a visual "blueprint" of home by exploring what gives us a sense of belonging.
A Blueprint of Home – Cyanotype Workshop
What makes a place feel like home?
Join us for a creative cyanotype workshop exploring home, belonging and our personal connections to the places we live.
Using one of the earliest photographic processes, participants will create striking blue-and-white prints inspired by architecture, nature, memories and everyday objects that help shape a sense of home. Through a combination of photography, found materials and natural forms, you'll create your own unique cyanotype artwork while reflecting on what "home" means to you.
This relaxed and welcoming workshop is suitable for beginners and experienced creatives alike.
During the workshop you will:
- Learn the basics of cyanotype printing.
- Create your own cyanotype artwork.
- Explore themes of home, memory and belonging.
- Experiment with natural materials and photographic imagery.
- Contribute to a collective artwork inspired by the many ways people experience home.
All materials are provided.
No previous artistic experience is required.
Whether home is a place, a person, a memory or a feeling, this workshop offers an opportunity to explore and express your connection to it through a unique photographic process.
Access: The workshop will be held inside of the pontoon that supports the SS Robin.
Please note that SS Robin and the pontoon are not step-free, as access is via a gangway that may be steep depending on the tide. Seating will be available and an accessible WC is located on site at other side of the Orchard Cafe. If you have specific access requirements, please get in touch in advance so we can support your visit.
