Fed by the Medway and Pilgrim Stories

Fed by the Medway and Pilgrim Stories

Overview

Join us for a Fed by the Medway dinner, and pilgrim stories. A celebration of the penultimate day of the River Medway Pilgrimage.

🌊 Fed by the Medway: A Community Meal & River Stories

As the River Medway Pilgrimage draws to its close, we invite everyone to gather for an evening of shared food, conversation and storytelling.

Whether you have walked every step of the pilgrimage, joined us for a single day, or are simply curious to learn more about the river and the community growing around her, you are warmly welcome.

This is an opportunity gather around the table, enjoy food grown by the Medway's waters, and to listen. To hear stories shaped by time spent walking with the river, caring for her, and paying attention to the places, people and more-than-human life she connects. Together, we'll celebrate the friendships, discoveries and hopes that have emerged along the journey, while opening the circle to new voices and new relationships.

🍲 6:00–7:00 PM | Fed by the Medway: Community Meal

The River Medway has always nourished life. She feeds us through fertile landscapes, abundant wildlife, shared histories, thriving communities and the quiet gifts that often go unnoticed until we take the time to pay attention.

Fed by the Medway is a celebration of that abundance.

Gather around the table for a shared meal that honours the many ways the river sustains us and invites us into a deeper relationship with the place we call home. Through good food and generous conversation, we'll celebrate what has been discovered during the pilgrimage and welcome everyone into the growing community of people who care for the Medway.

📖 7:00–8:00 PM | Pilgrim Stories

Following the meal, we invite you to an evening of listening and sharing as pilgrims reflect on their experiences of walking with the River Medway. Through moments of wonder, challenge, encounter and reflection, these stories reveal what becomes possible when we move at the pace of a river and begin to pay attention.

Alongside these pilgrimage reflections, we welcome stories from anyone whose life has been shaped by the Medway. Memories, observations, hopes, questions and moments of connection all have a place here. Together, they become part of a living story of relationship between people and river.

Cost

This is a donation-based event, with a suggested contribution of £15-20 to help cover the cost of the meal and the evening. If this isn't possible for you, please don't let cost be a barrier. Everyone is warmly welcome.
