Community events allowing illustrators to meet and connect, either locally in various cities in the UK or online!

Ready, set, draw! Join Sheffield Illustrators for a fast-paced evening of portrait sketching, conversation and creative fun. We'll be seated around a long table and working through a series of quick portrait challenges. Draw the person opposite you, then when the bell rings, swap roles and become the model. After each round everyone moves along one seat, meaning you'll meet and draw lots of different people throughout the evening. Whether your style is realistic, cartoon, expressive, graphic, loose or wildly experimental, this event is all about enjoying the process and connecting with other illustrators. What to expect:<ul><li>Multiple speed portrait rounds</li><li>Meet fellow illustrators and creatives</li><li>Fun optional drawing challenges</li><li>A relaxed and supportive atmosphere</li><li>A collection of portraits to take home</li></ul>All skill levels are welcome. What should I bring?<ul><li>Sketchbook or paper</li><li>Pens, pencils or favourite drawing materials</li><li>Optional clipboard or drawing board</li></ul> One booking per illustrator. All illustrators welcome, whether you’ve been before or not. All experience levels, styles and approaches are encouraged - we’re a friendly and inclusive bunch. Our meet-ups are a supportive space to connect, share ideas, and enjoy drawing together. <h4>Accessibility:</h4>Sheffield Plate generously provides a spacious and well-lit basement room for our meet ups. The room is accessible by stairs and lift.The AOI would like to make events accessible to all, where possible.
