Introduction to Canva for Small Businesses

While Canva is accessible and some features are free for everyone, most users only use 10% of its potential. This workshop bridges the gap between knowing the tools and executing professional-grade design, saving participants, small businesses, and start-ups hours of frustration and trial and error.

Workshop overview

This hands-on workshop is designed for beginners who want to unlock the power of visual communication without the steep learning curve of traditional design software. Participants will move from basic navigation to creating high-quality, brand-consistent assets.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, attendees will be able to:

• Navigate the Canva Interface: Understand the dashboard, folders, and toolbars.
• Design Fundamentals: Apply basic principles of typography, color theory, and layout.
• Utilise Magic Studio: Leverage AI-powered tools (Magic Eraser, Magic Expand, and Text-to-Image).
• Export & Collaborate: Share designs for feedback or download them in the correct formats.
