Luminarium at Connecting Cultures 2026 - Saturday 25th July

Overview

Step into the world-famous Luminarium at Connecting Cultures on Saturday 25th July... light, colour and wonder (30 minute slots).

The internationally renowned Architects of Air Luminarium, Timisien, is coming to Oak Hill Park this July and will headline Connecting Cultures on Saturday 25th July.

Created by acclaimed artist Alan Parkinson, the spectacular inflatable sculpture has welcomed more than four million visitors worldwide, touring countries including Australia and the USA.

Inside, you'll experience a unique world of light, colour and architecture unlike anything else.

Entry to the luminarium and visiting the main festival event in Oak Hill Park is free for everyone.

Inclusive to all, the experience is intended for audiences of every age and ability with a particular care to ensure accessibility for wheelchair users and the SEND community.

If you have booked a timed entry slot (30 min slot), please arrive 5–10 minutes before your allocated time to allow for ticket checks. Please note that shoes must be removed before entering the Luminarium.

A limited number of walk-up entry slots will also be available on the day, subject to availability. Please note, all under 16s need to be accompanied by an adult.

To help reduce traffic around Oak Hill Park, a FREE shuttle bus will operate throughout the day between Accrington town centre and the park.

If you are driving, please park considerately, be mindful of local residents and ensure emergency vehicle access is kept clear. Where possible, we encourage visitors to walk, use the free shuttle bus, travel by public transport or car share.

There will also be cultural food and drink stalls, live entertainment and free family activities taking place throughout the day.
