Focus on Y1 - Foundations in English and Maths

Y1 focus Bosco Schools

This workshop style session will look at key approaches for teaching and learning in English with year 1 children. This will cover key recent publications and research in the area, as well as input from teachers and leaders across the trust.

This workshop style session will also look at appropriate ways to build assessment into mathematics in a meaningful way with young children. We will look at the materials developed for this purpose across Bosco last year and reflect on their suitability and enhancements to make.

Following this day there will be two half-day sessions for Y1 maths moderation in each region of the trust. You need to sign up to attend the moderation separately and you do not need to attend this day to participate in moderation.
