Songs for Summer's End - Bruni at Holy Trinity Goodramgate
An evening of Nordic inspired folk music with toe tapping dances, hymns and medieval songs
Bid farewell to the summer and welcome in the autumn with toe tapping dances, a few end of summer hymns and medieval songs.
Playing original and traditional Nordic folk music, Bruni blends haunting vocal harmonies with a variety of acoustic instruments. Harps, mandolins, recorders and lyres are all supported by percussion to help weave stories of the north as we head for darker evenings and shorter days.
Doors: 1830
Performance: 1900 to 2030
Performance will take place by candlelight. This magical venue has remained largely unchanged for 800 years old and contains box pews.
Please note that it will be colder in the building than the temperature outside so do wrap up warmly (although there are some blankets available on request). Some sightlines are limited, but the acoustics are good throughout.
Floors in Holy Trinity are uneven and light levels will be low. Access to toilet facilities on site is limited. Wheelchair access is possible to all parts of the building save the Sunken Chapel and St James'. If you require further access information, please see this link.
