Meeting all people’s needs

An Alcohol Change UK online learning event

Over two half-days

Weds 14 October and Thurs 15 October 2026

People are different, and so are their alcohol issues. Join us online on 14 and 15 October for our 2026 annual conference, where we’ll be exploring the complexity of people’s lives, the role alcohol plays in that, and how we can offer support that’s relevant, accessible and effective.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Charlotte Hazell-Caldwell, on what services need to know about alcohol and domestic violence
  • Tess Falzon, on how her team have implemented smoking cessation support for people in treatment for alcohol and other drugs
  • Chris Dunbar, on how to make support open and accessible for LGBTQ+ people
  • Vanessa Townsend, on supporting recovery from alcohol-related brain damage (ARBD)
  • Mushtaq Dakri, on engaging with ethnic and religious diversity.
  • Plus, most importantly, we’ll be hearing voices of lived experience, including an interview with Aaron Davies on his recovery from an alcohol-related stroke.
