For young sailors who’ve completed the training stages and want more.

Our Advanced Training course takes experienced juniors beyond the standard youth training stages, developing racing, spinnaker and seamanship skills over five full days on the water. Taught by our skilled, enthusiastic instructors in small groups, it’s the week for children who already sail confidently and are ready to be stretched.

This course is for sailors who have completed Stage 4 or higher.

If you’re unsure whether your child is ready, email us before booking and we’ll advise — a Refresher Day may be recommended if they haven’t sailed for a while.

The details

Who: Ages 8–15 who have completed Stage 4 or higher (16+ should book our adult courses)

When: Monday to Friday, weeks commencing 20 July and 10 August 2026, 9.30am–4pm each day

Where: Draycote Water Sailing Club, Kites Hardwick, near Rugby, CV23 8AB

Cost: £325

We provide: wetsuit, buoyancy aid, helmet and all sailing kit

You bring: swimwear, footwear that can get wet, towel, hat, sun cream and a packed lunch.

Please arrive five minutes before the 9.30am start at the Waterside Reception, at the front of the Clubhouse. Changing rooms, showers and lockers are on site, with free parking for course families.
