Change is coming to the way local government works, but what does that actually mean for local charities, community groups and the people who rely on them?There is a lot of information out there about Local Government Reorganisation - it can feel difficult to know what matters, what it means for your organisation and where to start.This event is an opportunity to come together, find out what we know so far and have a conversation about what the changes could mean for our local groups.Whether you are part of a small community group, a local charity or a larger organisation, this session is for you. You don’t need to be an expert in local government or understand all the detail - this is about making sense of the changes and understanding how we can work together as things develop.Together, we will:<ul><li>Look at what Local Government Reorganisation means in simple terms</li><li>Share what we know so far and what is still being worked through</li><li>Hear from others across the sector</li><li>Talk about how we can stay connected and support each other through change</li></ul>At <a href="https://nhcvs.org.uk/" title="https://nhcvs.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">North Herts &amp; Stevenage CVS</a>, our role is to help local organisations navigate change, connect with one another and make sure the voice of charities and community groups is heard.This is the start of an ongoing conversation. By coming together early, sharing knowledge and building relationships, we can help ensure that local communities remain at the heart of decisions about the future.<h4>Agenda</h4>The day begins with our Annual General Meeting (AGM), where we'll complete our annual governance business. Once the AGM has concluded, the wider programme will begin, featuring inspiring speakers, networking opportunities and discussions focused on strengthening our local voluntary and community sector. Come along, ask questions, meet others and be part of the conversation.
