Part of the Eden Wool GatheringThese workshops are designed to give you a taster to this craft and are shorter than our usual ones delivered in our studio in Kirkcudbright -we do these monthlyWhat is Eco Printing?It's an environmentally friendly vibrant form of printing that uses natural organic materials bundled up in cloth. The 'bundle' is then steamed, capturing the beautiful colourful essences, giving a unique Eco print. It's low impact and zero waste. We will be using foraged leaves and flowers, all which can be composted.What will we do?Rose Petal, your tutor, will guide you step by step through the whole process from preparing your pre felt Shetland wool, sharing which botanicals deliver great colour, how to tie up and steam your bundles to fixing your colour. After steaming your bundle, we will unwind it and have the grand WOW reveal. Be warned, it's addictive!All materials provided. There will be a few tickets available on the day. Gather at the main gate ticket office 10mins beforehand to be escorted to venue.All ticket sales go to raise funds for the charityPrivate groups accommodated for bespoke workshopsCancellations 4 days before event will be automatic refunded.EcoArt is a grassroots environmental arts charity connecting community with art that supports climate and social justice.
