Curlew Conversations: Grouse Moors
Join us to hear from two land managers about their experience of managed grouse moors and curlew populations.
Research shows that Curlew populations are declining because too few chicks survive to replace adult birds. While early grass cutting contributes to breeding failure, predation of eggs and chicks is the main limiting factor. The strongest breeding success is consistently found in areas with effective predator control, particularly on managed grouse moors.
In this follow-up to our Curlews and Grouse Moors webinar, we'll hear from land managers about their experience of curlew populations on the managed grouse moors that they are responsible for.
The presentations will be followed by a live Q&A with each speaker. Speaker details coming soon.
