In this class you will make a fabric art seashell themed piece, you will build a fabric collage using a combination of reclaimed fabrics and fabric art techniques to create a beautiful sandy beach themed fabric art piece

What will I learn?

For this short courses you will learn how to create a fabric art sandy beach piece using a combination of collaging, hand embroidery and 3d effect textile art techniques.

You will be given a handbook that will be a guide to creating the fabric collage and a prepared fabric bases to work on. During the classes you learn applique and simplistic embroidery stitches. Martials provided for the class will be various hand dyed fabrics, reclaimed printed fabrics, embroidery thread, reclaimed fabrics, voile and reclaimed vintage lace. You will learn fabric art methods including fabric painting to make the seascape piece. The finished the piece you will add handmade seashell embellishments to pull the seascape fabric piece together.
