Speaker #1 - Melanie Guy

https://www.linkedin.com/in/melanie-guy-187b854b/

With over two decades of senior HR experience in the technology industry, Melanie has led People and Culture teams through expansion, transformation, and multiple acquisitions. Her career spans private companies, FTSE 100 organisations, and PE‑backed businesses, where she has consistently delivered people strategies that accelerate growth and strengthen organisational resilience.

The talk: Fifty Not Finished

Redundancy at 50+ can be daunting, especially when the job market narrative feels stacked against you. Melanie shares her personal journey through uncertainty, offering honest insights and practical takeaways for job seekers, recruiters, and business leaders. Her experience highlights what resilience looks like in real life and why organisations must rethink how they support experienced talent.

Speaker #2- Lisa Lloyd

Founder of It's Time for Change

https://www.linkedin.com/in/lisapsychology/

Lisa Lloyd is the founder of It’s Time for Change, built on a simple belief: when we get people right, we get business right.

A Chartered Psychologist, consultant, and coach, Lisa works with leaders and organisations when things feel stuck, stretched, or harder than they should be. Not when they want another framework, but when they want to understand what’s really going on beneath the surface.

Her work sits at the intersection of leadership, culture, and performance – helping leaders think more clearly, lead more intentionally, and create environments where people can do good work without burning out or switching off.

Lisa is known for her calm, straight-talking approach. No off-the-shelf solutions. Just psychologically grounded insight, honest challenge, and practical support rooted in real organisational life.

She’s often the person leaders call when they care deeply about doing things well but aren’t sure what to shift next – overwhelmed managers, disconnected teams, or cultures that look fine on paper but don’t feel right in practice.

Lisa creates the space, clarity, and partnership needed to make work actually work – for people, and for performance.

The talk: What If the Problem Isn't the Problem?

How to get beneath the surface of your people challenges

Engagement scores are down. People are leaving. Managers are avoiding difficult conversations. But what if the presenting problem isn't the real problem?

In this interactive session, psychologist Lisa Lloyd explores how HR and People professionals can move beyond surveys and employee feedback to uncover what's really driving people and performance challenges. You'll discover practical questions to help you dig deeper, understand why uncomfortable information if often the key, and learn how to turn insight into meaningful action.

Drawing on the Better Work Approach, Lisa will show how organisations can move from understanding what's happening to changing the leadership, behaviours and ways of working that create better outcomes.

You'll leave with questions you can use immediately and a fresh perspective on where to focus before deciding what to do next.
